Searching within the site

On every page of our site, access is provided to our internal search engine, at the top of the menu displayed on the left side of your screen.

Enter your selected keyword(s) in the search field, then click the button located underneath this field to execute your search. The search engine will match all words entered, excluding those consisting of only one or two letters.

In order to be processed, your search terms must include at least one word consisting of three or more letters.

The search engine is not case sensitive, but it does not correct spelling mistakes or typos. Make sure you have not made any mistakes when entering your keyword(s) in the field.

If desired, you may refine your search using quotation marks (" ") and colons (:).

To search for an exact name or phrase, surround it with quotation marks.
For example, preventive conservation will first find matches for the word preventive alone and then for the word conservation alone.
However, "preventive conservation" will match only this precise expression.

To search for two or more exact phrases, surround each of them with quotation marks as explained above and separate each phrase marked off in this way with colons.
For example, "preventive conservation":"darkening of pigments" will search the entire site first for the exact phrase preventive conservation and then for the exact phrase darkening of pigments.
