[CICRP - Interregional Centre for Heritage Conservation and Restoration]
Summary :
The Documentation Department is responsible for the reception, management and storage of the scientific and technical information produced and acquired by the CICRP in the areas of the conservation and restoration of cultural property. It makes this body of documentation available to professionals in the field, students and researchers, facilitates access to information, and disseminates these resources in various forms.

The department is also responsible for communicating the information acquired and produced by the CICRP, in the form of the following regular publications and events:
The CICRP employs an educator attached to the French Ministry of National Education whose mission is to develop outreach programmes designed to introduce a wider public (teachers and their students) to the issues raised by the conservation and restoration of heritage collections.

Other activities include seminars offered for teachers as part of the continuing education programme administered by the Aix-Marseille school district involving the development of educational resources (multimedia tools, teacher training workshops, etc.), local events demonstrating the CICRP's openness and commitment to its surrounding community, and participation in national events such as "Science en Fête", whose goal is to raise awareness and knowledge of science among the general public and attract young people to scientific careers.
